2022 Fender Player Stratocaster HSS with Floyd Rose Tremolo
The Fender Player Stratocaster® HSS with Floyd Rose® is a modern, performance-oriented Strat designed for players who require tuning stability under aggressive tremolo use without sacrificing classic Fender tone. Built in Mexico in February 2022, this model blends traditional Stratocaster design with contemporary hardware and electronics.
The guitar features an alder body finished in durable gloss polyester, delivering balanced resonance with pronounced midrange and clear high-frequency response. Its maple neck is shaped to Fender’s Modern “C” profile, offering a comfortable, familiar feel across a wide range of playing styles. A 12" radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets supports smooth bends and low action, particularly beneficial for lead playing.
Electronics are configured in an HSS layout, combining a Player Series Alnico II humbucker in the bridge with Player Series Alnico V single-coils in the neck and middle positions. This configuration provides high-output drive tones at the bridge alongside classic Strat clarity and articulation in the neck and middle positions. The 5-way selector allows for coil-split combinations that retain traditional Strat “in-between” sounds.
The recessed Floyd Rose® Special double-locking tremolo system delivers exceptional tuning stability and wide pitch range, supported by a locking nut and sealed tuning machines. This setup is ideal for expressive vibrato, dive-bombs, and precision pitch manipulation while maintaining consistent intonation.
Finished in Tidepool, this example is in mint condition, showing no signs of wear and remaining fully original.
