This 1999 Korean-made Epiphone ’56 Les Paul Goldtop pairs one of the most recognisable finishes in guitar history with the bite and character of twin P-90 pickups.

Expect rounded cleans, punchy rhythm sounds and plenty of gritty blues and rock character when you turn things up. Independent volume and tone controls give you plenty of scope to shape your sound, from mellow neck-pickup warmth to a sharper bridge-pickup growl.

A set mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and classic trapezoid inlays complete the familiar Les Paul feel and appearance. This example also benefits from USA-made Sperzel locking machine heads, making string changes quicker and keeping the strings securely clamped at the posts.

Fresh from our workshop, it has received a professional setup and a new set of 10-gauge Elixir strings, ready for its next chapter.

Condition

Presents well overall, with cosmetic signs of use, including a small ding on the top and marks around the rear of the headstock. Original tuner screw holes remain visible following the Sperzel upgrade. Please see the photographs for details.
